Notification and Alert Outlets
Where can I find notifications and alerts?
Fairfield Community School District has numerous ways parents/guardians can stay informed about weather-related announcements. Fairfield Schools is the 4th largest district in the state geographically. The decision to delay or cancel school is never taken lightly. The safety of our students and drivers is our biggest concern. If school is cancelled or delayed, it is the intent to have the decision made by 6:30 a.m., unless weather conditions warrant otherwise.
The public can stay informed of all weather-related announcements by using one or more of the following outlets:
- District Website - www.fairfieldsfuture.org
- Campus Messenger Voice*
- Inclement Weather Hotline –– 641-472-4858
- CLASSIC 96 FM (Fairfield)
- KISS/KRKN/KBIZ/KTWA (Ottumwa)
- KILJ 105.5 FM (Mt. Pleasant)
- KMCD-1570 AM (Fairfield)
- KRUU-100 FM (Fairfield)
- KTVO (Kirksville/Ottumwa)
- KYOU-Fox 15 (Ottumwa)
- WHO Radio 1040 (Des Moines)
- WHO TV 13 (Des Moines)
The district web site will have a scrolling banner when there is a delay, cancellation, or early out.
