Homecoming 2019

Homecoming week is the busiest time of the school year. The week before, and the week of, each class works hard to create a float that follows this year's theme, Trojans Unleashed. On Friday, judges will then select one class float as the winner. To start the week an assembly will be held on Monday to announce the homecoming court, and get everyone pumped up for the week. On Thursday, Iron Man Volleyball will be held in the gym at 2:00p.m. That night a pep rally will be held starting at 6:30 p.m. Powderpuff football teams will play first and then immediately after a pep talk will be given by Football Coach Weaton, the Homecoming King and Queen will be announced, the football captains will do the torch run, and to end the night fireworks will be let off. Then on Friday, a parade will be held with the class floats and the fall sports floats and of course the 2019 Homecoming Court. At the end of the parade all of the high school students will meet at the square for another rally, emceed by Mr. Hucke. At the rally, the candy contest winner will be announced, and the baby picture winners will be announced. The float winners will also be announced. Another pep talk will be given by Coach Woody Orne. The Homecoming Court and the 2019 King and Queen will be announced again. Friday night is the homecoming game where we take on the Fort Madison Bloodhounds. The varsity game starts at 7:00p.m. and there will not be a 9th grade game. The homecoming dance will follow from 9 p.m. to midnight. With all of that, we have a different dress-up day each day of the school week. Monday is Pajama Day, Tuesday is Tie-Dye/Neon Day, Wednesday is Country/Farmer Day, Thursday is Character Day, and Friday is School Spirit Day!
